5 Summer Shades

July 25, 2014

Nail expert, Katie Hughes, Global Color Ambassador for butter LONDON, shares her five must-have summer shades to keep you looking bright and polished all summer long. Classic nudes, bright neons and perfect pinks are an easy way to complete your look and make a bold statement. Check out Katie’s beach-worthy hues below! xx, Monique

A good sheer nude like “Pink Ribbon” is essential for any nail lacquer wardrobe. It’s very chic to wear a sheer nude on toes these days.

"Ladybird" is the best red for the summer, super flattering on all skin tones. It’s that perfect balance of red/orange.

"Jaffa" is a perfect coral; I love to clash reds, pinks or corals together.  It is such a fun and feminine look. This matches so well to Monique’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection with her imaginative use of color.

"Primrose hill picnic" is a gorgeous bright pink that’s quite grown up yet still has that fun element you want. This color is a statement and looks good all by its self.

imageNude is for sure a trend that’s not going anywhere. However think of this nude as the perfect finger elongating shade. It works on your nails the same way nude shoes work on your feet. Longer and leaner is always a good thing that’s why I love “Trollope”.
