MSKCC Fall Party
I had the incredible opportunity of being the honorary chairman of the Fall Party for the Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center at the Four Seasons Restaurant in New York City. Proceeds from this event supported the renowned Department of Pediatrics at MSKCC, recognized worldwide for their treatment of children with cancer. The funds raised for the first clinical trial to fight osteosarcoma could potentially change the future for children and young adults afflicted with this lethal disease. I saw firsthand the amazing work the hospital is doing on a visit to their pediatric floor. Their goal is to cure children, while at the same time making sure they remain emotionally and psychologically healthy during the treatment journey and beyond. The environment was so loving and fun and they treat children with the expectation that they will survive their disease and return to a life filled with hope and health.
Below are pictures from the event, which included more than 350 guests! My Co-Chairmen included: Travis Acquavella, Carolina de Neufville, Shabnam Henry and Jessica Sailer Van Lith. I am inspired by the work these wonderful women of the society of MSKCC carryout throughout the year. A special thank you to everyone that supported. It was a wonderful evening! xx M
